  • The SwarmNFS export configuration in Storage UI now supports Content Gateway in addition to Direct to Swarm. The Cloud Security section of each export configuration allows setting up the method best fitting situation: Session Token (token admin credentials with expiration), Single User (user, password, and token), or Pass-through. See SwarmFS Export Configuration.

  • The Storage UI now supports dynamic reassigning of nodes to subclusters, so the nodes do not need be restarted for subcluster assignments to take effect. Use this feature carefully as it does cause data movement within the storage cluster. Follow any dynamic settings change with corresponding configuration file updates, which take effect after reboot. See the Subcluster section of Viewing and Managing the Cluster. (SWAR-7316)

  • The defaults for NFS timeouts are shortened to improve error handling. See SwarmFS Export Configuration. (UIS-775)

  • Fixed: The feed definition for replication feeds erroneously showed the option "Propagate deletes" as being disabled when it was not, which can be verified through the legacy Admin Console (port 90). (UIS-728)

  • Fixed: The Swarm UI did not save new replication feeds, they had to be created using the legacy Admin Console (port 90, Settings). (UIS-713)

This version requires Gateway version 5.2.1 or later and SwarmNFS version 1.1 or later.

  • Improved the presentation of nonlocal content in localized browsers. (UIS-669)

  • Improved the display formatting of time totals that appear on the Hardware, Chassis Details, and Health Report tabs for more efficient use of space. (UIS-569)

Watch Items and Known Issues
  • When using the Swarm UI to identify volumes, turn off the identify function before removing the disk from the chassis. Failure to perform this can result in the need to restart the chassis. (UIS-564)

  • Clicking Add Export on the NFS page causes an immediate 500 error if a cluster has no search feed defined. (UIS-441)

  • When a feed is paused, the UI does not convey that the pausing cannot begin until the feed backlog is cleared, which can be a long delay. (UIS-437)

  • The Swarm UI does not save new replication feeds. Workaround: Create the replication feed using the legacy Admin Console (port 90, Settings). (UIS-713)

  • The feed definition for replication feeds erroneously shows the option "Propagate deletes" as being disabled when it is not, which can be verified through the legacy Admin Console (port 90). (UIS-728)

Changes in Storage UI 1.1.0

...

  • Support was added for SwarmNFS 1.1 service configuration.

  • Clicking the sitemap (the Swarm logo) at the top of the screen allows easy switching between managing storage and managing content in the cluster. Users authorized to see the storage UI see this; normal users can manage content. (UIS-579)

  • Page rendering performance for the Hardware page is improved for large clusters. (UIS-628)

  • The Cluster Settings page supports live modification of persisted cluster settings. These dynamic settings were are previously only modified using SNMP. (UIS-587)

  • Improved notification handles navigation away from the Cluster Settings page when it has uncommitted changes. (UIS-586)
